Diné Ba’adeit’i - For the People

Serving with K’é. Standing with our elders. Strengthening our families.

Honoring Our People Through Service

Diné Ba’adeit’i - For the People is a Navajo‑led nonprofit dedicated to supporting elders, veterans, and families across the Navajo and Hopi Nation. Our work is rooted in K’é—our way of relating, respecting, and caring for one another. Every cord of wood delivered, every mile driven is an act of service to our relatives.

What We Do

- Elder Firewood & Heating Support — Delivering firewood, propane, and emergency heating assistance to keep homes warm through the winter.

- Wellness & Community Care — Offering mental wellness support, elder check-ins, and culturally grounded community activities.

Why Our Work Matters

Many of our elders live in remote areas with limited access to transportation or heating resources. Long distances, rough roads, and harsh winters make daily life challenging. Our team steps in where gaps exist—bringing warmth, safety, and connection directly to the homes of our people.

Our Impact - 2026

- Cords of wood delivered: 210

- Miles driven to support families: estimate 4,000

- Elders served this year: 400

Where have we been?

Our organization has been to multiple communities across Diné Bikéyah, as well as the Hopi Reservation, both in Arizona and New Mexico. The map below has our organization logo on each town or city we delivered to.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

— Ralph Waldo Emerson
